Quicktime - is QTLite affected?

I see we're being told not to use QT. Haven't used it in many years, but I do have QT Lite for a few things - which hasn't been updated in a millenia too. Anyone know if the current vulnerabilites being advertised are relevent to QT Lite as well? Ta

Are you able to use VLC instead?
