Quicktime mega slow opening large AVI files?

Hellooo all

Since the last quicktime update it seems to take it forever to open large AVI files on my macbook. The fans all come on and it takes about 5mins for a 700mb file to open.

Does anyone know what has happened to quicktime??

Anyhelp with this would be great!

To be honest I can't remember what pluging I have been using lol!

Turns out I was already using that but I had version 0.5!

All up to date now and working perfectly!

I don't have any problems with quicktime pro and the free flip4mac? Are you sure yours is upto date and not the older beta version maybe?
