Quicktime wount no sound with divx, niceplayer using quicktime does have sound??

Hellooo

I just got a macbook and I have downloaded divx and installed it and when I play a divx video I get no sound but I do get video. I have also installed niceplayer which uses quicktime and that does have sound when playing divx files??

Can anyone help with this? The reason I want to use quicktime is so I can watch my videos in frontrow
