I'm just soldering up a cable to go from my onboard to my sub, just wondering is it always the left channel that is used?
Quicky about onboard, is sub always on the left?

I mean the left channel on the centre/sub connector, if that makes things any clearer...

The realtek thing (azala?) that on my Gigabyte p965 DS3. 
I've just this minute soldered it up and it seems to be working, and I've also noticed an option to swap the centre/sub chans so even if I got it wrong I could've swapped it.
