I want to test an ati card in my pc which i use an nvidia card in. Will it boot up fine and show it work without causing problems to the system

i'd use driver cleaner, it's no hassle

well i screwed it up last time so i'd rather just pop it in, make sure it's giving an output then pop it out if its possible

Yeah, there shouldnt be any problems if you remove the Nvidia drivers with drivercleaner & then install the ATI ones.

I'd put it in, but dont let it go into windows. If it works, you'll be able to get into the BIOS. If you boot into windows with it it might confuse your drivers.

thing is...

it will load into windows, nvidia drivers will stay intact, it will just use the default ati windows driver

problems occur when you then start installing ati drivers on top

i don't intend to install anything, just simply to see if it gives me an output,
