A month ago i bought an Antec TruePower Quattro 1000W, on Friday night it died

I thought id buy a 1000w one so that it could handle anything i threw at it, and that it was supposed to be 'quiet' - it failed at both!

At the time it blew it had the spec in my signature plus 5 sata hard drives, 2 pata drives, a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1 card and i think about 5 usb devices.

I now have a new motherboard and cpu, but they are not working properly together, but when they do i hope to have the following setup:

Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DQ6
Phenom 9950
8Gb Corsair 6400
Gainward 4870x2
M-Audio Delta 1010LT
Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1
6 x Sata drives
2 x Pata drives

And the option to add another 4870x2 at some point, although i doubt i ever will.

Could someone please recommend a psu for me which will be powerful enough for the above setup, but reasonably quiet?

Cheers

PC Power & Cooling 750W = pure awesomeness in a metal box.

Also, the Corsair TX 750W is highly recommended, as it is practically silent.

Coolermaster and Enermax Modu/Pro PSUs are also very quiet.

You don't need a 1000W PSU, even for that spec.

I'd second that, been using the 620w corsair for almost a year, dead silent, rock solid, 8800gtx sli, no problem for it.

This guy knows the score.

I'd also add the Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 850W to that list, apparently they're very, very good.
