i've not splurged for a while, and so was thinking about coughing up for the tj07, because it's dead sexy. however, the fans on it are described as "low noise", and are also apparently "low rpm". i was thinking therefore that they might also be "low airflow", and i might be better off splurging further on a bunch of acoustifans, as they seem to have the best cfm:dB ratio in the whole world.

er... and a scythe kama 5.25 bay cooler (if/when OcUK get them in- would go well with my silentmaxx HDD enclosure!)

what do you think?

the extra fans will be an extra £35, and the cumulative effect of the increased throughflow should be significant- as in the cfm difference should be more than equivalent to another 120mm fan. on the other hand, i do have a bunch of akasa blue led fans (3x120, 2x80-bah! why do akasa not do 92mm blues?!) that i could whack in there, that would grant higher airflow at a moderate dB cost, and save me £££...

i'd love to take advantage of the hdd cooling system in the tj07, but i've had the silentmaxx for a year or so, and it's silencing my raptor as well as keeping it cool!

i've currently got a zalman 7700Cu, so i think that everything should be ok, as i'm unwilling to splash out on the next model up for the sake of it. especially if it's going to complicate the elegant airflow system in the tj07.

:)

edit: oh yeah, do you know what the cfm on the stock fans in the tj07 are? that would be the clincher.
