Quiet card needed.

I need a graphics card, and would like to spend £200 - £250 ish (can be more if decent value).

I have zero clue what to buy but my requirements are :

• Quiet! & Cool would be number one priorities.
• My case will take a maximum of 310mm in length.
• I've no preference for Nvida vs AMD.
• As future proof as possible.

I'm not much of a gamer at the moment, mainly playing with the PS3 and Wii U. But hoping to expand this.

The system it is going into is a i7-4790K with 16GB Ram.

I can certianly recommend the gigabye 970 G1 for noise levels. I have two of them & don't hear them at all.

I second the MSI 970. I have it in a silent pc setup and it's even quieter than the Asus it replaced. Silent at idle and barely noticeable when gaming.

Thanks! You have all saved me a ton of research.

I think I'll order the MSI, as I've read it can switch the fans off at idle which sounds ideal for 90% of the time, as the desktop is used for work also.
