Im looking for a case , not interested how it looks but must be very very quiet.

I do not want to be buying after market fans after purchase so cases with

nice standard fans please , sound volume is of most importance for me.

Many thanks jay.

shame you dont want to add some more fans other wise id suggest the FD r2, the one in and one out fans supplied @ 900rpm simply isnt enough for cooling in the summer

The Antec P series are wonderful but the stock fans are not so wonderful. Having the PSU in a separate compartment allows the PSU to run very cool and quiet. The filtering of all incoming air saves so much cleaning.

I have the P183 and have since removed and blocked up the top fan slot due to vibration and noise buffeting through the cut out shape in the case and grille. The case isn't designed for internal water cooling so any water cooling will probably have to go outside the case.

Overall though the case dampens sound very well indeed.

Most stock fans in cases you buy are rubbish though. At least the Antec ones give you the option of going fast and noisy if you need them to.

Despite a few flaws I recommend the P183. Best case I've ever had.

i would go with the fractal anyway. if sound levels are important then you wont be clocking too much anyway. choose that case with a good air cooler

At stock Antec P183 and Fractal Design have acoustically best features/construction. (thick multilayer panels in Antec and bitumen mass damping in Fractal)

Then there are few Lian Lis with very silencing friendly design just waiting for mass damping.

Most stock fans in cases you buy are rubbish though.
Higher quality fans and better quality checks cost more so acoustically really good stock fans are exception.

Nothing preventing major overclocking.
It just requires actually good CPU which has medium level power consumption to start with and can be undervolted while overclocking for preventing bigger power consumption increase.
