Hi guys,

i often watch movies off my computer but the fans are quite loud, i've only got a cheap case so the stock fans are not amazing.

Can someone spec me a quiet cooling system, a low budget and medium budget would be nice, eg one around £40? another around £80? i don't know what the prices are like as i've never done this aspect.

I dont overclock anything and i run an amd 9550 with stock cooler, aswell as having an ati radeon 4870 and 2 500gb hdd's (though these maybe upgraded)

Many Thanks guys n gals!

Edit: i was thinking of changing all the fans in the case as well as the processor fan to a Xilence Icebreaker, my main focus is low noise and adequate cooling

Check out SPCR (silent PC review)

While I'm here though consider a Xigmatek S1283 and replacing all your fans with low RPM yate loons. If you still have the stock cooler on the gfx card then consider the Accellero S1 + a yate loon strapped to it or the turbo module (only if you don't like the idea of zip tieing things).

The less fans you can use the better.

After the chip, gfx and case fans you're into the hdd territory. Consider suspending the drive/replacing with 2.5" drive/replacing with 5400rpm drive/using a drive enclosure.

SPCR has loads of recommended columns with some good info on which products to choose.
