Quiet Gaming Keyboard

Avoiding "mechanical" switches...

Most of them fail to give damn about noise with hard plastic parts smashing into each others both in down and upstroke.
Some even add extra noise effect to mimic "machine gunning" of mechanical typewriter.
Though out of them Logitech's new low profile switch might be the least noisy one.

Logitech g213 membrane keyboard
That's not true membrane/rubber dome keyboard, but some "mech dome" with some extra parts there probably adding also noise.
Anyway keyboard housing affects also noise and that Ducky is no doubt sturdier.
Talking about that thing to try is putting thin mouse pad "as stuffing" under keyboard.

I didnt know that, thought it was plain old membrane, either way the silent reds are surprisingly quiet I thought they would be louder or at least clack a bit but nothing

Small and likely sturdier base no doubt helps to keep noise under control.
Bigger sheets of any material tend to be more flexy.

Posted this before but for a budget, non mechanical option the Kensington Advance Fit is very quiet and great for work or gaming including media buttons.

Regularly type late at night on it and while you hear some sound it doesn't travel much at all, that's compared to an old rubber membrane that was notably louder.
