Can anyone recommend a relatively quiet card.

I'm using a 7950 GT (512mb) and I'm thinking about upgrading.
It doesn't have to be DX10 capable (I'm still on XP) but I've been looking at the 8800GTS.
Does anyone know if the 8800 is much better than the 7950 and would it be ok on a PSU less than 600W?
Or can anyone think of anything thats at least a step up and doesn't make as much noise?

The stock cooler on the 8800GTS is pretty quiet,i was shocked at how quiet it was when i first got mine
 
8800 GTS is miles faster than the 7950 GT, id say more than double performance, and they are very quiet, almost silent, even when underload, and if you have at least 28a on the 12v rail, and its a decent PSU then you should be fine to run it. :)
 
Thanks. PSU is a Hiper type R so I think it should be ok. So from what you have said even the 320mb would be faster than the older card?
