Hi all, I need a new graphics card my present one is about 7 years old and is getting very noisy (Radeon 6870), my pc is in the living room ad disturbs my wife while she is watching TV, I was thinking of spending around £200 could go to £250 at a push. Thanks in advance.

1060 6GB would be the normal answer I think. I've got a machine running an MSI Gaming X 1060 6GB and it is exceptionally quiet under load. Look out for cards which turns the fans off when idle - that cuts out any noise while browsing etc.
