Quiet laptop recommendation?

Hi!

I'm looking to buy a new laptop before I go on holiday. I would like something that is slim and lightweight (ultrabook?), but also quiet.

Right now the laptop I have is louder than my desktop machine, which puts me off using it for any period of time.

No need for high end graphics as I won't be playing any games on it. Only thing remotely close to games would be videos and that's more about CPU and memory right?

An i7 would be preferable and SSD is essential.

Any recommendations would be most welcome, thank you

I was thinking about it, but I heard from a friend who has one that they can get really noisy.

Also I've never used Mac OS before and I have quite a lot of work to do whilst on holiday (the adjustment will slow me down).

How about the Asus Zenbook?

I've got the lastest Pro, and don't think I've ever heard the fan once, so not sure what model your friend is talking about.

Granted it's an older model, but a friends Mac Book Pro can whine as loud as my old Vaio does. Noise is something I didn't consider when buying my laptop 5 years ago, but will be a big factor when I choose my next one.
