My bro has an Nvidia based Asus A8N-E mobo, with integrated AC97 sound. He's experiencing a problem with his mic, the recorded volume is REALLY low - with the mic volume unmuted, maxxed out and +20db boosted we can hear him, but there is so much line noise he sounds like darth vader most of the time. BBBBBRBRRRRRRRRRR.
Latest drivers are installed, and yes it's plugged into the right hole.
Any suggestions?
