Hi guys currently I have a Razer blackwidow 2013 stealth and a logitech MX518.

I love the mx518 but it's getting a bit old now and as it was my birthday recently I've decided to treat myself to some peripherals. I also absolutely hate this keyboard, it's US layout for a start and I don't think I'm a fan of mechanical keyboards. I like laptop style keyboards.

Also as my PC is in the living room of my house when I'm at home the mouse/keyboard can't be too loud.

So requirements:

Mouse
similar to mx518
quiet clicking (if that's even possible)
5 buttons

Keyboard
not mechanical
quiet
preferably like a laptop keyboard
I don't care about macro keys/LEDs/general 'gaming' features.

Thanks.

G400S is the MX518 successor but I've had 20+ mice pass through in the past 2 weeks and non have been quiet! Pretty much every mice uses Omron switches which have a nice defined click dependant on implentation. There is a gudie to silence them but it requires taking the mice apart and then the switches too.

Keyboard wise, I'd reccomend Logitech over all due to their borderline insane warranty service. They do a range of compact low profile keyboards such as the Comfort Keyboard K290 which is touted as quiet.

I don't think this is going to be a very welcome suggestion around these parts but..... how about an Apple keyboard? Before I went back to desktop pc's after using laptops for the last 10 years I was too used to laptop style keys that I just couldn't go back!

Luckily had some of these lying around at work and been using it for gaming on my home computer. Works just fine for me but the only issue you may come across is needing to bind some keys, for example the esc button doesn't work most places!

Tbh the apple keyboard looks perfect but I don't really want to faff around with binding keys etc there must be some keyboards that are similar but are made for windows.

And as for the G400S yeah it looks exactly the same but the only thing that annoys me is I paid £26 for my MX518 4 years ago and the G400S costs £50 :/.

Which means I want something different if I'm going to be paying more. I will look at the logitech comfort. Ty.

Realistically you only need to rebind the key once and it's done, I appreciate it is a bit of a faff but it's such a nice keyboard it's something I can easily live with :)

Not sure I was clear in my previous posts but it's the escape key you need to rebind. Mine is a few years old (exact same model as far as I can see). You never know it might work straight out of the box with this one.
