Hi guys Ive had my PSU for 5+ years now and its a loud one! So time to replace it as im now a bit more sound concious never let me down and I will just keep it for a spare if anything where to go wrong.

i5 760 2.8
8 gigs of XMS 3 DDR3
Asus P7P55D-E
GTX 460
Razer Audio card

What would I need? What would be quiet! I don't mind spending a bit more for quality havn't really got a budget.

What say you OCUK?

Cooler Master Silent Pro series is known to be quiet. They also have solid electrical performance (this doesn't apply as much to the Silent Pro Gold series).

One of Enermax's Modu87+ units was tested on SPCR and it was pretty much the quietest actively cooled units they tested. The Lepa G series is based on the same design and uses the same fan, so they should be just as quiet.

If you want a really quiet supply then the seasonic designed Corsair AX series is a good shout. It is semi-passive (below 50% load the fan doesn't turn on) and is still rather quiet under full load. It also comes with a 7 year warranty - which is nice.

The new 650W version is the cheapest and should meet your needs.
