I'm looking for a new PSU. Requirements are:
- quiet
- modular
- between 450 to 550W
- below 80 quid

It seems the Seasonic ones come highly recommended for silence but it doesn't look like they are modular. I've been looking at the Tagan modular PSUs, any thoughts?

TIA

Less wires dangling about unused. Good point though I don't have a window or anything on my case. I guess it doesn't absolute have to be so that one is a nice to have :)

"Enermax liberty" NOOOOO IMO i have seen so many of these go up in a puff of smoke! i have nick named them the Genie.

Seasonic is very good and QUIET but a lil over priced (they are about the best like)

Tagen will be on the list aswell.

But hey dood! there is no such thing as Silent (not even the fanless ones)

Another vote for the Seasonic here, can't hear mine at all :D and it's 100% stable even with the ammount of things I have in my system, I have the 430W version aswell

I find the fact the cables are so short on my Seasonic a bit of a problem, can just about get the longest molex connect to my hard drive! Tagan are good PSU's aswell :)

I thought the idea with these "eternity" connectors was that you used one or the other connector per device, not both. There have been a lot of reviews which agree they are a silly idea.

I just tuck my cables behind the motherboard tray, looks tidy through my windows case. Dont really see a huge need for modular myself :)
