Help please! Looking to get a very quiet psu to replace my (not so quiet) Hiper 425w, as after asking for help on a budget build it's been pointed out that Hiper's may go bang!

So, I've spent quite a while considering my options and reading reviews, but can't quite decide what to go for - budget vs noise. I've come up with the following options covering a range of prices and :

Seasonic X-460 Fanless
Enermax Modu87+ 500
Enermax Pro87+ 500
Nexus Value 430
Enermax Modu82+ 525
Enermax Pro82+ 525
Seasonic X-560
Antec New TruePower TP-550

Noise levels for all of them, as far as I can gather are all similar up to 300W, but beyond that the ones at the bottom of the list are noisier. I've considered many others, including XFX, but I don't think they're as quiet as I'd like.

I'm not sure I can bring myself to spend more than £100 on a PSU (I'm surprised I'm even considering it)- but I know the top ones in the list are 80plus Gold rated and very quiet.

Anybody any thoughts/experience of these? I'm not too bothered about modular.

It's not a gaming setup, more photo/video, and no high end gfx card. Should i worry about the noise level beyond 300W, how often will a pc draw more than that?

Thanks.

As said fanless = silent

Just depends if you intend to add anything to it in the future

There are those where the fan doesn't kick in till its drawing x amount of power (not sure the model and at work so can;t look right now) which allows complete silence with the power there if needed.

Having thought about it some more - I think will go for the Seasonic X-460 fanless. Hopefully I won't need to worry about a PSU for another 5 years - so it doesn't seem so bad if I think of it as £25 a year rather than the initial outlay!
