Currently have an SG05 and find it far too loud so i'm thinking of transferring my i3, 8GB Ram and Gigabyte H55N-USB3 to the following:

Would the above set up work? any help gratefully received

You have a fairly low power build there so why not go completely silent?

Your i3 should be easily cooled by the passive system and you don't appear to have a gfx card to worry about either. A few of us on here have this case (and the precursor) and it is a lovely case, although I would recommend against the black one (which I have) as it marks so easily!

You'll need to spend about another £80 on a 150-160w pico PSU though which would upp your budget by about £50.

I would replace the seasonic (overkill) for a Pico with external brick. This is a low power build (no graphics card etc.) 120W would be more than adequate and should come in at around £60 complete.

That's a saving of around £40, don't know why Amp34 suggested this would up the build cost.

This fan should be adequate http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-085-AK&groupid=701&catid=2330&subcat=I have one in an i3 based server build.

Think I forgot to take the cost of the CPU cooler off... :p However if he does go for the streacom then he doesn't need any fan full stop.

Thanks everyone for the advice i've been eyeing up the FC8 for a while and now the Evo is out i'm going to order that and while i'm at it do a whole new build.

Streacom FC8 EVO
i3 ivy bridge (got),
Sony slim Blueray drive
Asus P8h77-i mobo
8GB Ram (got)
OCZ Agility 3 120GB (got)
Streacom Pico PSU
Strecom remote

Any one know if the BitFenix Internal USB 3.0 Adapter http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-013-BX will work with the FC8 and enable me to connect the front USB 3.0 ports to headers on the mobo

Thanks
