Hi,

I have a 540 Air at the moment but I'm looking at alternatives as its too wide, I want a Super Wide monitor and cant fit both the monitor and 540 Air on my desk so the 540 will have to go.

I love the look of the Fractal Define S so interested in that if it caters for the below and if anyone can suggest anything based on the following -

* I want my next build to be as silent as possible so good sound deadening
* Room for 2 x 140MM intake and 1 x 140MM exhaust fans
* Room for a decent sized air CPU cooler
* Prefer no 5.25" bays in this build
* Cut out for motherboard back plate

Thanks

I believe I've read somewhere that buying case designed & optimised for noise reduction in a first place is far better than other cases with sound dampening modification.
NZXT and Fractal are obvious choices here but I would also look into Be Quiet ones. But I am biased becaused everything I ever had from Be Quiet never matched but always actually exceeded my expectations. From fans to PSUs..

I have Fractal Define R4 and it does have motherboard cut-out, also 2x 140 intake and 140 out just like you want. It is quiet. I have one of the biggest air coolers fitted and there is still room to spare. Has 2x 5.25 and I use one of the for NZXT HUE the other is for optical drive. even if you dont need 5.25 it's still better to have a spare one than not as you never know what you may need in a future?

Thanks, I ordered a Define S last night when I was drunk, Scythe Mugen Max CPU cooler and matching Scythe Glide Stream 140MM intake fans for the case

No 5.25 bays but didnt want any as I'm replacing my Bitfenix Recon with a Phanteks PWM Hub and not used an optical drive in a long time
