Hi Folks,

Just built a new gaming pcand it is soo noisey so I'm looking it my options for quietening it down.

The main culprets for the noise are my akaska 922 cpu cooler, my 2 generic case fans (120mm akaska fans) and my 4870.

I have most of the bits to quieten and cool down my 4870 (just waiting for my accelero to arrive). I deffinately need a new fan for my Heatsink (92mm) and 2 new case fans.

What can you recommend that are quiet but efficient at cooling? The one thing I am concerned about is that quieter fans may increase my case temps, my pc is overclocked so does need some cooling. Is there such a thing as a quiet but cool case/HS fan?

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...e=Noctua NF-P12 120mm Silent Case Fan - 3 Pin Are just about the best performing silent fans. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Also, what PSU do you have? Quite a lot of PSU's are very noisy too.

And the asaka soundproofing kits work a treat if you want to go that extra mile after replacing the fans.
