Just transfered my kit into the above new case. The mb is a Gigabyte Z77z-UP5-TH with i7-3770k (Noctura cooler with 2 fans) and the Graphics card is an Asus 7970 also with two fans. 32gb of Ram. There are 5 HDD and 1 SDD. I left the case fans (4) as delivered. I had erroneously thought the case had a built in fan control rather than just the connection board. The system is mostly used for photo editing and GIS work.
The system is running cool and I suspect at least one of the fans at the back top of the case is uneccessary given the twin CPU fan set up. However, before I can experiment I need to be able to control individual fans. Is it best to do this by forgeting the case connection board and pluging the three pin plugs into the board sys-fan headers and getting some software or is a fan controller the way to go. If the latter recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation
