Quietest 1000w PSU

Hi,

I'm thinking about building a new pc and wondered which 1000w PSU's are the quietest? I will be running two 980tis and probably a 5820k oc.

Quietness is pretty personal really as what one person may think is quiet another may think it's not. Here's a selection of psu's to consider. All have hybrid fan control so only spin up when needed.

Before anybody asks why I haven't added the EVGA Supernova G2 1000w to the list it's because I have seen a lot of complaints online about that psu having a loud fan that seems to run all the time.

Ye, the G2 1000W I believe doesn't have the eco fan mode

That is right, the G2 unit do not have the ECO mode. We also just launched the new GQ Series, those do come with a nearly whisper silent "Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan" You can find more infos about it here http://eu.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=210-GQ-1000-V3 it just softlaunched this week so OCUK do not have it listed so far but it will get available soon!

I have the Leadex Platinum 1000W and it is brilliant when it comes to noise, don't hear a thing, even with the case side panel off. Would highly recommend.
