quietest (fan noise) 9xx

With release of galax infinity black has anything changed with regards to quietest card.
is there any practical difference between the models in terms of quietness..beyond those with a 0 rpm profile in non gaming/htpc use.

Anybody compared in real world?

Sitting 2m away from pc in large case with 25 Dba fans ...single gpu

My brother bought a 970 windforce G1 the other week and it's amazingly quiet. Unlike my r9 290 which im gonna be modding this weekend !

MSI 970 user her and its basically silent. I dont think I've ever seen the fans go over 50% whilst gaming and even when taking them off auto they are essentially inaudible overy my case fans up to about 65-70%.

I read the GALAX GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infinity Black Edition" review over on kitguru last night which had a page (linked) with acoustic performance results. Don't know how accurate their testing methodology is but seems like they're all pretty quiet!
