Hi Guys

Im building a new system for a friend and cant decide on the cpu cooler.

This is the spec:

Core i7-2700K
Asus P8Z68 DELUXE
Asus GeForce GTX 580 Matrix
Corsair Obsidian 650D
Corsair AX850

The budget is anything upto £80. The cpu will not be overclocked and I want it to be as quiet as possible. I currently have the Gelid Tranquillo and its silent but I wanted to know if there is an advantage for going for one of these:

Noctua NH-D14
BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro
BeQuiet Dark Rock Advanced

Thanks

If you're not going to overclock and your happy with your current cooler than whats the point in chucking more money at it, I don't get it?

As the previous guy said, if you're content with the gelid then stick with it??

Although, if you're bothered about what it looks like through the window, I personally think one of the Dark Rocks would looks a bit more swish ;)

Thermalright silver arrow.

Gets (got) my vote. If you're not overclocking (and why the hell not ;)) I'd try running it with a single fan, but tbh even with 2 I can't hear it until it ramps up past about 70% (using FanXpert). Loudest fans in my case are on my 5850 twin frozr II and they're not particularly loud either at idle (30%) or load (45%).
