Quietest Modular PSU...

As title really... the one I'm spying at the moment is the Enermax Liberty 400W (for my HTPC).

from most of the reviews ive read the seasonic always comes top then the enermax then the tagen not much in them 3 at all so dont think you will be disapointed in any of them i have the tagen 430 modular one and i cant hear it above the amber fans i have in my case

Seasonic are releasing a modular PSU in a few months but until then I believe the Enermax is just about the quietest.

Ok cool I guess I'll get the Enermax... one thing that concerns me though is that it only has one fan, and that isn't even a direct exhaust. The PSU will be the main source of airflow in the machine (apart from a puny 60mm fan at 5V that shifts next to nothing!). Do you reckon that will be ok?

With an A64 3000+ at stock with CnQ enabled, Asus GF6150 board and an X800 XL (stock).

The Liberty is virtually silent, you have to be within 1' to hear it. It doesn't move much air though compared to a high speed 12cm fan (obviously) but as load increases the fan increases speed.

liberty isnt truely modular thou cos the SATA/MOLEX are shared cables. you get 2 SATA and 2 molex per cable.

As tested by silent pc review the Antec Neo He is the quietest PSU out there matching the Seasonic S12. The Neo HE is modular.
