quietest psu?

Looking for an extremely quiet psu, gonna run an e6600 and a 88gts, with the upgradablilty of another gts.

Has to be silent, not gonna opt for the zalman one due to bad reports though, post your psu experience please

the corsairs are bloody quiet, i know that much. silentpcreview rate them amongst the quietest they've every tested

The corsair makes a slight mumur when its on, nothing you notice against, so it's as near to silence as you get

The phantom looks good - has anyone used one in a high end system? Does the fan kick in at ~ 75% load?

I have one powering an overclocked X2 4400+, 8800GTX, 7 HDDs X-Fi, and 4 case fans. No problems! I think the fan kicks in when gaming, but can't hear it.

To be fair, the caorsair hx 620w was what i was most drawn to , and thats what most people have suggested... Although i do like that phantom...

Silenx make Silent PSUs that are fan-free, resulting in true 'silence'. The problem is, they are very expensive and I don't believe you would be able to get one good enough for that setup

i wanted a modular psu and bought the corsair 620w and i don't think it is any quieter than fsp 700w epsilon i had before ,both very quiet psu's although that phantom looks good too.

People recommending ~500W PSUs - is this really enough for two 8800s in SLi?
