Quietest PSU?

Well seeing as there's currently 3 'my Hiper Type R's just blown up' threads going at the moment I suppose I'd better start making plans

My new rig, which'll be built next month, is going to be as quiet as I can make it so I need a PSU to match. I'm thinking Corsair 520 as it's supposed to be quieter than the 600 but will it be enough for a q9450 and a gf9?

Cheers and pray for me that my psu doesnt catch the current christmas bug!

The 520 should be just fine unless something crazy happens before each of those is released. In reality they're both just about as silent as possible.

I have the 620, imo it is quiet, just fit it and forget about it!

The Corsair HX520 is silent & will power that system with plenty of room to spare.

Is that the top of the range GF9 you're thinking of? I don't think anyone knows the TDP for it yet, but I would think that a 520w PSU would be adequate to power one. At least, I would hope so...
