Now I've got a silent GPU (well the 1080 is almost silent impressively), I'm wanting to silence my PC as much as I can, I'm looking for some good 120mm fans that are as quiet as possible whilst having great cooling potential. Need 6-7, 2 for front, 1 back, 2 top and 2 for CPU cooler.

Any help mucho appreciated thanks.

Before I can recommend anything, need to know what your idea of 'as quiet as possible is' What kind of speed are your current fans running at?

Great cooling + low noise don't go hand in hand. Sure there are some fans with 'special blades' for reducing airflow noise but the best fan for noise/airflow ratio at say 1,200rpm will still be louder than the worst one at 1,000rpm

Do all the fans need to be the same and what's your cpu cooler as some have different types of fan mounts. And whats your budget?

I'm not sure what my fan speeds and CPU is I'll get the info when I get home, my idea of quiet is like a humm, I don't seem to be able to control the speeds in Windows too.

Or use something like Aquero with temp sensors which ramp up the fans under certain loads or temps.

Consider switching to a case with larger, quieter fans. Are you overclocking? Are you trying to cool the rig in your sig? Assuming not, if you're not overclocking then look into passive CPU coolers.

The rig in my sig is now a laptop, have undergone a transformation computing wise in the past months, now using a laptop and a laptop stand with fans so I can game anywhere I want :)

We really need to know what your system components are, what fans you now have and what speeds they run. Then we can give educated suggestions of what fans to get, where to place them and what speed curves to have them running at.

If you have Gigabyte motherboard, you can fully silent your PC to turn off all chassis fans and CPU fan with Smart Fan 5 software's Fan Stop feature by set temp below target yourself like 40C, 50C or 60C in same way as GPU Zero RPM mode set at 60C. It seemed Gigabyte Smart Fan 5 software is the only one that can completely turn off all fans to silent PC, ASUS Xpert 4 software has Fan Stop feature that can turn off all chassis fans but unfortunately Xpert 4 cannot turn off CPU fan. I don't think ASrock, Biostar, EVGA and MSI motherboards fan control software can turn off fans completely but you can set fans to go as low as 10% minimum.

Corsair recently launched 3 new CPU water coolers H100i PRO, H115i PRO and H150i PRO with completely new redesigned CPU pump which are totally silent and also it has Zero RPM Mode that the CPU PWM fans will completely turn off when the CPU temp dropping to 40C threshold and below. Corsair is the first and current only company to launched new CPU water coolers with Zero RPM Mode.

I recommend new Noctua NF-A12X25 120mm PWM fan that can push more airflow than other fans with 60 CFM airflow at silent 22.6dB noise compared to 120mm BeQuiet Silent Wings 3's 50 CFM at silent 16.4dB.
