quietten down my gpu fan

my gpu fan makes loads of noise and is half the noise in my case!
makes loads of noise wen pc is startingup and when playing games as it heats up.

case is fine, plenty of airflow as antec 900,
i have the old zalman passive heat sink on my old gpu was wondering if that would fit straight on?
but its going from vga to pci.e
