Just got my renewal quote through this morning from Quinn Direct. Last year I paid over £1500 to insure my piece of French tin, which was the cheapest by a long-shot.

They've came back with £670. I'm mighty impressed to say the least! I wasn't expecting such a sharp decline in price! That's more than halved in a year :D

And that's the renewal quote! Obviously I'm gonna shop around, but it's a seriously good quote for renewal I think you'll all agree :)

Had to share this with you folk...

i went with quinn for my first year - 1400 tpft - renewal, 593.

shame i had an accident 4 days before my year was up. :(

Im with Quinn as well, about £900 TPFT on a 1.6 Focus. Im 21, held my licence for about 6 months. Ive heard they aren't the best company...cheap as hell though :)

yeah forget any form of customer service if you have to deal with them, took them 25 days to send me an accident report form.

I'm with them too, they came up with £689 TPFT with 1 year's NCB @ 20 on my 205 GTi.

Also gave my girlfriend a quote of £709 FC on her 1.4 Clio @ 17.

Actually, I have found their customer service pretty good. First time I had to phone to get a new insurance certificate delivered because I'd typed one of the letters in wrongly. They changed it immediately and I recieved the new certificate the next day.

Second time I phoned, it was to inform them I was going to be driving abroad on a certain day. They sent me a green card through within about 3 days. But Ive heard from other sources that claiming for accidents can be a nightmare. But then again, isn't that the same for any insurance company?

Probably true mate, i've had no other trouble when changng registration details come to think of it. Claiming for an accident is a nightmare when dealing with irish call centres.

My bro and myself have also found that quinn direct seems to give low prices. as far as claims go, I am going tpft so that is a little less crucial. Those who have dealt with them before - do they use indian call centers??? I hate the morethan indian callcenter workers, because they're crap and would rather not deal with another

Im switching to them soon, they've taken nearlly 800 of my TPFT quote, im going fully comp as its only 1500, still saving 200 a year :)

Just like to add, go to Quinn Direct, direct.

Went on Confused last night to see if I could improve my quotes - cheapest I got was 800 quid and that was from Quinn!

Looks like I really have done well with the renewal :) They must want to keep me!
