Hi ladies, hope you are all well.
I am now coming up to my second cigarette free week and I am determined to stop.
I never thought it would be this hard to be honest, though it is getting easier now and the cravings are subsiding to about 3-4 times per day... it is quite amazing how much of a hold these things have on you.
I guess I made this thread to motivate myself and maybe provide some motivation for others who are thinking about quitting.
I also wrote this to the people who are thinking of starting or have recently started smoking. My message is simple realy.... dont do it, the hold these things have on you is great and it takes considerable willpower to stop once you are hooked.
Heres a few things I have noticed since quitting, my appetite is greater (extra cardio at the gym required :/)
Despite what people say when I smell cig smoke it dosent turn my stomach, quite the opposite, it just makes me want one :p
I DO feel healthier and cardio at the gym is easier.
I dont smell like an ashtray anymore.
I am richer

Anyway thanks for reading and like I said earlier, I hope this motivates some of you to give it a try.
Will update on my success/failure every few weeks so if anybody else who has quit wants to then feel free to post your story here.

I'm 7wks in, not even twitched so far. Been to the pub less (although I'm going in a minute) but otherwise it's business as usual.

I've started mountainbiking again and I still have the lung capacity of a 150yr old man, but I dread to think how bad it would've been later in life if I hadn't packed it in now.

Keep up the good work :)

Good stuff mate! I went out last Saturday and it was a challenge to say the least, gonna give it a couple more weeks before I try again.
