Quote for some work. Is it reasonable?

I've just returned from an indie garage down the road from me with a small list of things that need doing to the car. The cost is relatively small too in the grand scheme of things but I was wondering what people would expect to pay for the following on a Peugeot 205

  • Supply and fit N/S CV Boot
  • Fit N/S Wishbone bushes (supplied by me)
  • Weld crack in exhaust

The quote I've been given assumes that the old bushes aren't too difficult to remove too.

£90 is the magic number. Does this sound about right or a little high/low?

That's good then. I only ask because while I know what needs to be done I've absolutely no idea of the time scales for this kind of work.

I was contemplating doing it myself but it would probably take me a whole weekend to do the CV boot and bushes. :o

It's a not extortionate by any means, but I'd save myself £90 and do it myself!

I'd like to do the work myself but firstly I don't have a welding torch (nor do I know how to use one) and I'm going to be busy over the next couple of weekends with stuff I can sort on the car so I'm happy to pay someone because I don't have the time.

In future hopefully I'll be able to do some stuff like this myself, I'm sure it's like a lot of things, just have a go and keep trying and learning new stuff.
