need an air rifle to take care of some bunnys/magpies that are playing havoc with our garden (we're out in the middle of no-where), I've used air rifles before but not for a while and don't realy want to spend too much as I'm probably not going to use them much after getting rid of the magpies.

so guys, any ideas where to buy/how much to spend?

You're better off contacting a local airgun club and getting them to come do it for you. Nobody would charge for this and they'll be pleased to have somewhere to hunt.

yeah?
I'll have a look but tbh I'd rather be able to do it myself, is there any other stuff you need with the rifle?
like a box to keep it in or somthing?

Can you 99% guarantee to single shot kill these animals?

If not, don't even think about doing it yourself.

tbh, I am planning on doing some target work first to check I can still aim, and yeah used to do shooting with a m8 who owned a farm and I was good, we're not talking long range here or anything.

I'll lend you my .17HMR....... no, wait a minute, I won't :p

Feek speaks the truth. If you're not sure of killing them with a single shot, then don't do it.

Get a crossbow.

If its still alive it'll be pinned to the floor, not escaping through the undergrowth :p

Your name is the small rabbit.

Never knew you hated them :(

But I suppose.

KILL IT WITH FIRE!

Oh no, dirty little buggers the lot of them. I'd rather hve "Flopsy" on my dinner plate than getting on with rabbit-esque shennigans in a field.

you should see what the wee buggers have done to Australia.

All the fault of some berk who brought a load of them over so he'd have something to hunt. What a colossal phallus that man was.
