If i pre order today on steam will i get to take part in the open beta?

I really wanna get a feel for the classes and the game before its realeased

I would imagine so, unless it says something to the contrary on Steam.

The question will be whether you can get the 9 gig client downloaded before the open beta starts tomorrow

Don't have steam installed on W7 side so can't check just now, but how much cash is it to order via steam?

Yes, you will.

Steam gives you your retail key to play AIONs release with, and that key can be used for all beta tests aswell.

I've bought loads of games via Steam before but never pre-ordered. As such, I don't personally know if it's possible to cancel a pre-order on Steam.
