QX6700 (Quad Core) question

hmm, put it this way, mine idles @ 46-47 on core temp @ 3.33Ghz
on water(nb @ cpu in the switech loop).

(and thats the cpu lapped too )

At the moment i'm using a X6800 @ 3.7 (Will get temps at home).
I have on my desk right now a QX6700 ready and waiting to be put in.

I'll do stock speeds tho, and dear god @ maddness temps.
I'm scared now

Question for you, are you using speedstep?


Something I need answering as to be honest with you guys I've never done this but, would I need to re-install my OS going from a X6800 to a QX6700?

Only reason im getting one is because i'm paying a little after selling my X6800 >_<.

No dont use speedstep, no you will be ok dont need to reinstall OS.
Out of interest im trying to sell my x6800, how much did you sell it for m8.

this is the core temp, after a few hours the temps slowly rise ans settle to
46-47

is your core temp 32 seems a bit low
