It's a fair over clocker, had mine at 3500MHz stable, not up there with some of the Dual-Core OC speeds, but this is 4 x cores after all.
Agreed, it only OC's at a peak somewhat less that the Dual-Cores can achieve, BUT, the quad still wins on all things that matter.
By that I mean Video/Audio Encoding, file zipping, unzipping, it is so much faster with those 4 cores. In 3D work, like Lightwave, 3Dstudio, Bryce, Vue, Terragen it barnstorms ahead.
Some, and I mean some, games run quicker with the higher OC'd Dual-Cores, but that can be academic what with both setups able to manage great frame rates in everything out there right now. But when developers add some quad-core support, and they will, the writing is on the wall.
Go Quad, you won't regret it. I did when my other 'arf found out I spent that much, but that's another story.
I am hoping to get Striker to compare with my current P5B Deluxe results. Havin' trouble finding a sensible price at the moment tho'
