Prolly in the wrong section 
Ok so, Built my new system with only 1gb of ram as 1 stick is faulty
Specs are
QX9650
Gigabyte x38 DS4
1GB Corsair PC8500
I believe the stock multiplier is x9 for the 9650, mines running at x8 and a clock speed of 2.6ghz.
every time ive tried to push past the x8 the system just locks up at boot or when it reaches windows.
Cpu-z in the SPD tab reports that the max bandwidth is "PC26400 (400Mhz)"
Have i got a voltage set wrong, is it the fact that i only have 1 stick of ram or does the board need a bios update?
