The GTL voltages (4 of them related to CPU) will prob be set up for 65nm CPU at AUTO (I know that's the case on a Asus P45).

Get over to XS Forums and read the threads on how to work out your needed GTL Voltages and try that.

The OP has already been weening about this particular topic on another OC forum I'm on, and more or less been told (repeatedly) "tough luck". Regardless of the "X" there is no guarantee that any IC will overclock...

set your ram to 1:1 of the FSB reduce the multi to 6/7 and rank up the FSB the most stable then you should have the FSB of your board .

then go to stock and try and get to that FSB with while tweaking the GTL's on top of the normal vCore , if are unstable before you hit that FSB its most likey the CPU you mite just have a realy bad chip

You really need to use a high end chipset with a high end extreme edition CPU to unlock all of the potential. Sell your existing mobo & get an X48 based model.
