Hey folks

I think my Deathadder is giving way because of the right click is a bit dodgy.

The R.A.T looks interesting but im unsure about a couple of stuff. For one is it a great mouse? Iv large hands and the Deathadder does the job so is the R.A.T good for big hands too?

That's really all so any advice would be appreciated

i owned the RAT9 and found it a massive disappointment. despite the customisation options i couldn't find any configuration which was even equally comfortable as a bog standard cheapo mouse. the signal was iffy despite the receiver being right next to the mouse so every now and then part of my hand movement wasn't detected. obviously, this caused problems while gaming. in addition, the battery life was appalling and i had to change the battery at least once every day. trust me, that gets annoying pretty quickly.

on the plus side, the build quality is great and when it worked, the mouse responded well. the bundled software is also ok, but tbh i can't recommend the mouse overall, even for £40 let alone £90. bear in mind thought that my comments about comfort are subjective so i'd recommend you try the mouse out first before buying. i've heard it's more designed for people with larger hands.

i ended up going through several mice until eventually finding the logitech g9x. it's now my favourite mouse ever. amazing responsiveness and comfort, with no wireless troubles (it's wired) or battery changing annoyances. i'd highly recommend considering it.

tbh i would never buy a wireless mouse again for gaming. it's pointless and just another thing to worry about. the g9x has a nice braided cable which i don't even notice. it comes with two grips two so you can choose which one you prefer.

Thanks for the great post. May I ask is the logitech G9x a big mouse?

To be honest, it sounds like you had a defective mouse. I've owned the R.A.T.9 since it's release and I'm pretty pleased with it.
Obviously comfort issues with using the mouse are very much based on personal preference. But I certainly haven't experienced the other issues you've mentioned. I've never had a single wireless drop-out (although the receiver is pretty close to the mouse), and based on other wireless gaming mice I've owed, the battery life is pretty good. I was used to changing the batteries on my old G7 once every 3-4hrs, maybe I'm just use to it.

I would recommend the R.A.T and I have done to some of my friends. most bulk at the price, but those that have brought one have been equally impressed.
