Hotlinking means linking to an image on another website or forum and not a dedicated image hosting site. It's bad practice and hurts other websites.

Use something like Imgur as it says in several places in the forums.

Well actually the rules seemed as clear as mud to me on the issue of images. It is only now striderx has explained that I understand what they are saying in the rule below

"Directly linking to images on other sites that are not expressly for that purpose (known as Hotlinking) is not permitted."

Not to worry it was the XP version of the mug. Obsolete. Even though it did the job perfectly with no issues you needed to buy the 10 version. Because its newer, innit? Got to have newer because its, er, new.
