Well, after 10 years of service it appears that my 17" Sony Trinitron CRT has given up and popped it's clogs! 
Installed Windows 7 and both of my screens were working fine, installed GFX drivers and windows updates to try and get sound working, restart, and the power light is just flashing on and off.
Turned PC off, put XP HDD in and this time the light doesn't even flash. Tried another power cable thinking that it might be that but no, nothing other than a few ticking sounds from inside the case!
It was a cracking monitor for working on photo's with. Can anyone diagnose what is wrong and if it's worth repairing? Cheaper to buy another 24" Benq?
