You really yacht to get it out of the water asap.
Just barge in there and rope it to the digger.
 
To be honest it won't be that much effort to make good again once you've got it back on land. The engine might be knackered but the rest will just be you working every spare weekend for the next year :D

the engine costs more than the rest of the boat though :o
 
Ha, replies are fantastic.

Well, we got it to the shore, waited for the tide to go out, 3 of us bailed it out with buckets.

Very surprised the battery still works - trim and tilt on the outboard worked!

Got a big digger, stropped it up, and lifted up into a yard.

Engine looks a bit screwed, possibly time to look for another
