Hi

I currently have a msi r290 with reference fan.

Up until tonight I haven't messed around with target temps or fan speeds in ccc as I have only been playing stuff like eve or some strategy games ect

however tonight I installed asseto corsa and very quickly the fans started speeding up ect

so I went and had a play in ccc

the first time I altered things was to set target temp to 70 and fan speed to 100 then went back to asseto and again fan speed started going up until it was unbearable, I mean I couldn't even hear the game over them so I came out of game and back to ccc to notice that temps were only at 58 and fans at about 70
the thing is how long does it take once out of game for the fans to come back to normal as mine didn't and I had to reboot to stop the damn thing

I then tried again with target temp of 85 and fans of 70 and it followed same pattern as before and again I left game went back to ccc and saw my temps were now in low about 45 and fans at 70 again

after about 5 mins the fans were stillin high 60's so I rebooted to shut them up

is this normal ?

thanks

Afterburner will also tell you temps, fan speeds, clocks and GPU usage in game so you don't have to exit to check stuff.

thanks for the replies

I downloaded msi and used that , the fan staying on fast despite relatively low temps stopped which was my main concern
