R290 = G10 + H75 issues.

I've spent around 4 hours this morning removing the stock cooler on my ref 290, cleaning it out and fitting the Kraken G10 with a Corsair H75, the issue is the cooler itself is slightly too wide in some areas, making it almost impossible to screw the bracket in straight.

Has anybody else had trouble using this combination? I managed to get the cooler fitted but it just doesn't feel right. It is sturdy and I can't see any gap at all between the cooler and the GPU but I'm hesitant to actually power the thing on.

Any reassurance or warnings are greatly appreciated. I kinda wish I'd have gone with the NZXT x40 instead, or better yet just waited for an aftermarket 290.

Did you check that the H75 was compatible with the G10 before you purchased? If not you might want to look at returning one or both products.

The NZXT website says that the H75 is compatible, it would be completely fine if I could have used any of the other screw holes, designed for Nvidia cards.

I'm just going to bite the bullet and underclock the card as soon as I get it running, then max out the fans and see how I go from there.
