R3 alternative not k62

CM-690-II Advanced then I guess. Depends on how long you want to wait but the Antec p280 looks fairly nifty but I am not sure on its release date.

Can you stretch to £107 ? I'd get the silvestone raven 3 the k62 is the best case around the £80 mark and the raven 3 the best around £115 Lian Li PC-B25FB is also worth a look but is £105.If were my money and I was in the market for a new case I wouldn't think twice about the raven 3 it has the cooling ability and silence of the ft02 but has even better features like much more room at the back to hide cables etc not to mention an improved power supply placement as well as being able to mount hard drives round the back.

If you don't fancy paying more then I'd just get the lancool k62 it really is the best case at that price point.

arrived, and this is getting returned as well: upper hdd cage is bent and a flange connecting lower cage to the motherboard tray was somehow pulled up.

will return for refund as not happy with the bearings noise from the two included fans, so would have to spend ~£20-30 extra on three new fans anyway
 
Try another R3? I had to return my first one as one of the panels was bent and the esata cable had been fitted upside down meaning the top cd bay could not be used but the replacement was perfect and it's a great looking, super quiet case. The build quality is great, just seems they have some real quality control issues that I'd assume they've sorted following the no of complaints I've seen.
 
fractal design don't have the best build quality but I like mine for the price range.
Do you prefer the CM if you hadn't got a faulty 1?
 
yeah, I am sending the CM back, and getting another R3 - this time from here. I asked on ocuk CS forum for them to package it well and they were very helpful
