With all this resurrected discussion of Raven Shield, it became obvious to me there was a third expansion I never had called Iron Wrath, how long has this been out?

Anyway, Google is my friend, and it seems this is a free expansion for owners of Raven Shield (I have Athena Sword too) I managed to get my reg code after giving away more personal info than I wanted, then I was put in a waiting line on 3D Gamers for my download, waited and eventually got my turn only for a forbidden error message, so I've spent the last half hour back tracking and now waiting in line at Fileplanet whom warn there is a 45 minute waiting list!!!

3D Gamers and Fileplanet both offer options paying for an instant download service, so I'm thinking this free download may not be so free after all, it seems to be an exercise in getting you to sign up for a premium download service from 3D Gamers or Fileplanet? If I get an error message after 45 minutes waiting on Fileplanet, then I just wont bother with this free add-on.

Must be a quicker way to get Iron Wrath if it's genuinely free? I've got the legit reg code in email.

Anyone, Bueller ... Bueller?
 
IW is much much better than athena sword, if anything they should have sold IW and gave us AS for free, but its still nto as good as RVS.

The gun sounds are still extremely naff, but some of the new maps are nice, although im not too keen on some of the new MP options they have put in. One in particular is rescuing the hostages, but 1 rainbow can only carry one hostage, making saving them harder.

Its worth the download for the SP games, but last i looked there were very few MP servers.
 
i liked the as there was that mode where u had to handcuff ** opponents... that was a riot :D

team adv is played waaaaay too much, no tactics whatsoever on a public server .. a nice bit of vip once in the while would be good
 
I thought "Pilot" was a great game concept in the original Raven Shield too, but again, nobody wanted to play it, maybe because of the required (boring for some stealth?) all my mates whom I played online Raven Shield with were single hero, lone wolf, trigger happy, grenade throwing ... Rambo's, the total opposite of what a squad team like R6 should be doing!

I hope this Sunday game kicks off and nurtures further games. I've tried my best on Joint Opps, its fun, but just another undisciplined frag fest, no better than Quake, really. Havent tried BF2, but don't expect much better.

The few team co-op Raven Shield games that did gel together with voice comm, ETC were fantastic enjoyable times.
