R6 or R1

So, today I met someone with a 2002 r6 and he let me sit on it.

I immediately realised how much more comfortable it was than my FZR. The FZR isn't too uncomfortable but you can't really sit upright where as on the r6 it's a lot less aggressive.

Now I think I'm ready to get a new bike. The FZR 400 was my first sports bike and I love it. It has around 65bhp and tops out at 135. Not the quickest bike by any means but certainly not the slowest.

I love the look of a 2001 R1 but I'm not sure if I should step straight up but instead get used to riding an R6 first.

Opinions?

An R1 will be lighter than my FZR400? :confused:

Do want white wheels if I get one.

Maybe try some other supersports around the same price before you decide?

EDIT: those R1's do look mighty fine though

In fairness, just looked and my FZR is only a few kgs lighter. Seems a bit mental to me.

Also, I could just as easily kill myself on a 600.

In fact, I could just as easily kill myself on my FZR.
