As above really

Took it for service (Yamaha), new battery, chain & sprockets, the usual service items now runs like a bag of spanners?

Not local to where it was services so thought I'd ask on here first.

Spark plugs were changed last year and are good as far as I know.

I'm thinking breather pipe blockage? would/could this be the cause?

Model is 5SL fitted with remapped PCIII.

Cheers

By a bag of spanners what do you mean? Is there loads of vibration or can you confirm its from the engine. I would check all your pipes. Breather and vaccume hoses ect...

If the problems is vibration it could be rear wheel alignment or if its engine the carbs could do with a balance. Where they done with the service?

When you say "not local...", how far we talking? As I would be straight back there tbh, as I would imagine it wasn't a cheap service from what you say you had changed.

This tbh, stuff the distance, you paid for a service & it's come back running like a dog, ide be on the phone sharpish telling them it's coming back & why, & i most definatley would not be paying for any remedial work to sort there snafu out.

Check your vaccume hoses.

My old speed triple had the same issue after a service, turned out they put the 2 vaccume hoses going to the tank the on the wrong points.

I would not touch any thing and go call them up.

If you mess about then your only get the blame for making it run rough

Sounds like fueling or air leak in the rubbers

take it back and get them to sort it out, keep going back until its fixed, and ask for a discount or refund

As said, don't touch a thing, if you do they will only blame you for all the problems. Call them, advise of the issue and ask when you can drop it off for them to rectify the situation. Youn paid for a service, clearly it has not been provided. Be as nice as possible and give them an opportunity to fix it..

Yeah phoned them up today and will take it down on Friday morning.
I usually take it to Yamaha in Wigan and I live in Cumbria not majorly far away but times time!

He said to check breather pipes, may just be kinked? But failing that not gonna touch it!

I had the same problem with my bandit. Took it to a dyno and got the fueling done and it was 100%. It will cost you around £60...

Sounds like someone has messed with the fueling. Were the carbs dtripped and cleaned?
